Sudbury distiller sets up shop on Kelly Lake Rd.

With support from the province’s Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation, Crosscut Distillery Ltd. has opened its operations on Kelly Lake Road, conducted facility renovations and purchased equipment, including a copper potstill and fermentation tanks. The business will manufacture spirits such as vodka, gin and whisky, using ingredients grown locally in Northern Ontario such as quinoa, barley and birch products.
“We at Crosscut Distillery are grateful to the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation for its support in purchasing the equipment required to transform Ontario agricultural products into fine spirits. We raise our glass to NOHFC and its support of all entrepreneurs in the North.” said Shane Prodan, Owner, Crosscut Distillery Ltd.
Ontario is investing $200,000 in Crosscut Distillery Ltd.,through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) Northern Business Opportunity Program.
