(CNW) Porter Airlines is adding a third daily roundtrip flight between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Sudbury, beginning Sept. 6. "Sudbury is a destination that we've invested in and has grown along with Porter," said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. "Competitive air service is important for the community and we look forward to welcoming even more people aboard." After beginning Sudbury service in March 2010 with one daily flight, Porter recently improved the schedule to two flights in April of this year. "We are extremely pleased with how quickly Porter has increased its service at Greater Sudbury Airport," said Bob Johnson, CEO of Greater Sudbury Airport. "With the implementation of Porter's newest flight, it is now possible to travel to Toronto from Sudbury early in the morning and arrive back home in the evening on the same day. Increased frequency, combined with affordable fares, is certain to result in stimulated passenger travel to levels that haven't been seen at our airport in over 25 years."
