CFUW offers scholarships for women

The CFUW Sudbury is a group of women who have attended post-secondary school and who raise money to allow other women to have this privileged. Every year, they award scholarships to young women to help pay their education costs.

* Doris Thompson Lane Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a female Grade 12 student who is entering university on a full-time basis ($1,000.)

* There are two $500 scholarships awarded to full-time female students entering second and third year respectively of any program.

* The Helen Byrnes Memorial Scholarship is awarded to a full-time female student enrolled in any year of the sports and physical education program ($1,000).

* The Margaret Fyfe-Orange Memorial Bursary is award ($1,000) to two full-time female students entering second, third or fourth year of any program, preferably whose studies have been interrupted for a minimum of one year.

* The Grace Hartman Memorial Bursary is awarded to a full-time female student enrolled in any discipline of graduate studies ($1,000).

* The Marlene Burns Memorial Bursary $500) is awarded to a female student enrolled in any full-time program. Preference given to a student in journalism whose studies may have been interrupted for a minimum of one year.
