The president of Collège Boréal, Denis Hubert-Dutrisac, underlines the importance of accessing employment services that are adapted to current conditions in order to ensure a successful job search: “Finding a job is a challenging and crucial step in a person’s life. Collège Boréal wants job seekers to benefit from its in-depth knowledge of the employability sector and the business community in order to facilitate this process and provide the best chances for success. The strategy is to serve the needs of both job seekers and local businesses that are looking for competent personnel.” Funded by the MTCU, Employment Options provides Greater Sudbury’s Francophone and Anglophone communities with a wide variety of direct employment services, such as help with job searches, job-worker matching, internships and support for employment retention. Besides the regular tools to ensure successful job searches, Employment Option’s personnel provides customized support to persons with an interest in other programs, such as the Second Career program, apprenticeships or academic upgrading. Through Employment Options, Collège Boréal provides employment services in 23 communities across the province. Included among these communities are the City of Greater Sudbury and two new centres situated in Hamilton and London.
