Help Wanted: Mayor of Greater Sudbury

Election nominations will open Jan. 4, 2010 for the municipal election to be held in November. Nominations will be accepted for the positions of mayor and ward councillors, as well as trustees of the Rainbow District School Board, Sudbury Catholic District School Board, Conseil scolaire de district catholique du Nouvel-Ontario, and Conseil scolaire du district du Grand Nord de l'Ontario. The term of office is from Dec. 1, 2010 to Nov. 30, 2014. Nominations must be filed in person or by an agent at the city clerk's office, second floor, Tom Davies Square from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Qualified electors may nominate themselves. Application must be accompanied by the nomination filing fee ($200 for mayor, or $100 for councillor or school board trustee).
