The second annual Springfest Concert will take place Friday, April 13, 7 pm, at the Glad Tidings Auditorium on Regent St. Folk icon Valdy opens the concert that features beautiful and energetic act Dala. Reserved seating tickets for Springfest are $37.50 inclusive. 705-674-8381.

 

The third concert in the new Jazzworkz Concert Series will feature Lance Anderson and his B3 Organ Trio this Saturday. The concert will also feature acclaimed saxophonist Jean-Yves Bégin with Jack Broumpton on drums. A portion of the proceeds from the concert will support the Joan Mantle Music Trust, which provides instruments to students in Rainbow Schools. The concert begins at 7:30 pm and takes place at St. Peter’s Church, 203 York St. Admission is $15 for students and $20 for adults. Tickets are available at Black Cat on Durham St. and Hair to Live For in the Cedar Pointe Mall.

 

Wild at Heart Wildlife Refuge Centre hosts an evening of dinner, live comedy and both silent and live auctions of items donated from the community Saturday, at the Radisson Hotel in Sudbury. Comedians from the Comedy Network program, Comedy at Club 54 will provide entertainment for the evening. All proceeds support the wildlife refuge centre.
