Find Your Flavour at LCBO

LCBO invites customers to re-discover liqueurs during Find Your Flavour, a four-week promotion taking place in all 611 stores across Ontario until March 27.
This promotion is designed to move liqueurs to the front of the bar,? says Bob Downey, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, LCBO. ?More than special occasion drinks, these multi-purpose spirits are the most versatile of all our products. Find Your Flavour shows how liqueurs are ideal for entertaining, whether as easy-to-make cocktails or as matches for desserts.
The promotion helps customers discover the many liqueur flavours online at www.lcbo.com with the Liqueur Flavour Finder, a fun interactive tool that matches flavour preferences with cocktail recipes. There are15 online flavour profiles including Blackberry/Berry/Cherry, Peach and Banana, Passion fruit, Pomegranate, Coconut and Mango, Lemon, Orange, Mint, White Chocolate and Mint, Vanilla, Caramel, Coffee, Almond, Licorice and Honey, and Marula.
Customers can also pick up a free ?Find Your Flavour? recipe booklet at all LCBO locations while quantities last. The booklet divides liqueurs and corresponding cocktail recipes into eight main flavour categories ? Citrus, Coffee, Nutty, White Chocolate and Mint, Fruity, Berry, Sweet and Tropical ? offering entertaining ideas based on flavour preferences.
For those with a sweet tooth, Dufflet Rosenberg, of Toronto?s famed Dufflet Pastries, has created eight new signature dessert recipes made with liqueurs from each flavour category exclusively for this promotion. Recipes include Milk Chocolate Mousse with Caramel Sauce, Panna Cotta with Peach Coulis and Honey Vanilla Poached Pears with Ramazzotti Sambuca Cr譥 Anglaise. The recipes are in the booklet and online at www.lcbo.com.
In-store sampling events featuring liqueur-based cocktails will take place across the province every weekend of the promotion. As well, the 10 LCBO stores with event kitchens will feature chef demonstrations of the signature Dufflet recipes each Saturday afternoon.
With 260 SKUs in-store, liqueurs are big business for LCBO, accounting for more than $235,000,000 in sales during fiscal 2008/09.
