A SECOND CHANCE TO VIEW VINTAGE CAR COLLECTION

Proceeds Will Fund Education Support, Community Service and Citizenship Programs in Sudbury

The vintage car collection on display as part of the IODE City of Lakes Tour of Homes will be available for viewing for one more day only on Sunday, Nov. 3 from 1 to 4 pm.

The collection includes a 1959 Nash Metropolitan convertible, a 1919 Model T Ford, an original 1939 Lincoln Zephyr, a 1957 Studebaker Golden Hawk, a Deluxe Coach Lines bus that was used to take tourists to visit the Dionne Quintuplets nursery, and many more.

“We had countless Tour of Homes attendees asking if there would be another chance for their family and friends to see the collection, so we thought it would be great to open it up for viewing one more time,” explained Mary Guy, organizer of the event.

Poceeds will help fund the chapter’s Citizenship programs benefiting those who serve our community and country, along with the chapter’s Community Service and Education-focused programs like care packages for new mothers, the elderly and those in need; bursaries for local students at all levels; books for elementary school students; support of local resources for youth like SACY, Foyer Notre Dame and CAS; and much more.

The collection is on display at 2961 Valleyview Road in Val Caron. Admission is $10 at the door and attendees must be 13 years of age or older.

More information about IODE City of Lakes Chapter’s work can be found on the chapter’s Facebook page (www.facebook.com/iodecityoflakes) and website (www.iodecityoflakes.ca).
