Northern Ontario’s premier destination for live jazz!

Jazz Sudbury Festival is Northern Ontario’s premier destination for live jazz, curating a fine blend of established, acclaimed artists nationally and internationally, and mixing them with a strong range of local emerging artists who are sure to please an audience. The event inspires an appreciation for the colourful and diverse art form of live music by presenting the industry’s best in jazz, world, and blues music.

Jazz Sudbury Festival is held Sept. 4-8, 2019 at the Bell Park Amphitheatre, on the shores of Ramsey Lake, at eight unique downtown venues, and in a parade escorted by a Dixieland Jazz Band. The festival features main-stage headliner performances, the Jazzwalk, a series of intimate performances providing local and established artists with the opportunity to collaborate, Jazz in the Park, an accessible free concert dedicated to families, Jazz on the Beach (main beach, Bell Park), the Jazz Café Masterclass, and Jazz Afterhours.

Where is the Jazz Sudbury Festival?

The Festival is held at the  Amphitheatre in Bell Park, on the beautiful shores of Lake Ramsey for the main stage acts on Friday, September 6, and Saturday September 7.

The festival is also proud to support downtown Sudbury with Wednesday (Sept. 4), and Thursday (Sept. 5) events leading into festival weekend. Saturday will feature the much-loved Jazzwalk event, with a troupe of musicians leading guests on a musical journey through the downtown core. This year will also feature Jazz in the Park, a free concert at Bell Park on Saturday afternoon and Jazz on the Beach at William Bell Gazebo (Bell Park main beach) on Sunday afternoon.

What are my parking options at the event?
Parking is available on York Street, across the street from the Amphitheatre.

What should I bring to the Festival?
Seating is available at the Amphitheatre. The festival is in September, so we recommend checking the weather and dressing accordingly. Most importantly, don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!

I’m visiting Sudbury for the festival. Where can I stay?
Jazz Sudbury has partnered with Travelway Inn – Sudbury (1200 Paris St). Consider purchasing our “Stay. Eat. Get Your Groove On” travel package. Contact Travelway Inn for full details, or visit www.jazzsudbury.com.

Do I have to bring my ticket to the event?
You can print your ticket and provide ID at the gate. If you do not have a printer, tickets can be retrieved at the gate electronically.

Is there a way to buy tickets without using Eventbrite?
If you do not wish to purchase tickets online we are able to take cash, cheque, credit or debit in person at the Jazz Sudbury office: Suite 200, 96 Larch Street, Sudbury. Early-bird tickets are also available at  A&J Home Hardware (469 Bouchard Street), and La Fromagerie (5 Cedar St).

Is there a children’s discount?
Children 12 and under are free.

What is the refund policy?
No refunds. The event will run rain or shine!
