The Sudbury Volunteer Managers Network (SVMN), hosted by United Way Sudbury and Nipissing Districts and Volunteer Sudbury, celebrated International Volunteer Managers’ Day Nov. 6
Network members met to celebrate the efforts of local Volunteer Managers and the impact they have within their organization and throughout the community. “International Volunteer Managers Day is truly a day to celebrate,” said Linda Dupuis, community initiatives manager with United Way. “
The outstanding contributions of volunteers are a reflection of the hard work and dedication of a Volunteer Manager – a skilled professional who is adept at taking singular passion and turning it into effective action.”
This year’s Volunteer Manager of the Year Award is Claire Vincent-Viau from St.Gabriel Villa.
SVMN involves local volunteer managers who meet monthly to build their skills through training and peer mentorship. Volunteer managers interested in joining the network may contact Linda Dupuis, Community Initiatives Manager of United Way Sudbury and Nipissing Districts at 705-560-3330 ext. 222 or [email protected] for more information.
