Campaign chair Patricia Mills, executive director Michael Cullen, board president Barb Nutt, and campaign manager Katherine Cockburn.
United Way Sudbury and Nipissing Districts is well on its way to reach its three-year goal of $7 million.
“We want to thank the countless volunteers in the workplaces who helped us achieve $2,075,000 in the first year. It was an incredible effort by so many,” said Patricia Mills, campaign chair.
Mills replaced former Rainbow District School Board director of education Jean Hanson as chair who became ill early in the campaign.
It was announced Thursday that United Way has honoured Hanson with a lifetime achievement award.
“She’s an incredible, selfless volunteer who has spent a lot of hours working towards this campaign,” said Mills, publisher of Northern Ontario Business and Sudbury Living Magazine
